Greetings Arbuckle Community Church,
Sadly, I need to inform you that we have had a possible COVID-19 exposure event.
The event occurred on Friday, October 30th at Youth Group. I do not believe, that for most of the students or staff, that this was a close contact event. We have made this known to those with possible close contact.
We were made aware of this Thursday, November 5th, as the infected person developed symptoms on Monday, November 2nd, was subsequently tested, and then given a positive result on Thursday.
However, due to safety concerns, The Elders and I have decided that the most prudent course of action is to close down the facility for one week, beginning today. This will take us through two weeks of possible contact. We will reassess on Friday, November 13th. This means that all of our events this week will either be canceled, postponed, or moved online.
- Sunday Service – Online Only, followed by 11 am Zoom Call
- Youth Group – Cancelled for 2 weeks
- Women’s Group – Cancelled for one week
- Men’s Group – Cancelled for one week
- Food Distribution – Postponed for one week, the new date will be November 17th
Understand that as your Pastor, I am saddened that this is the action we have to take, but I know that it is the right course of action. We want to provide a safe atmosphere for everyone to be able to worship the Lord. I will continue to keep you updated.
Before I end, let me remind you that God is sovereign, and is not taken by surprise with any of this. Remember Deuteronomy 31:8 “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” We can have faith and trust in God.
